Most towns
in America have a favorite eatery where
people feel at home, where families meet
and where strangers who happen along
accidentally leave as friends. For more
than 20 years, one
such place has been Shortstop Bar and
Grill.
“It’s like the neighborhood bus stop,”
says Ray, the owner, and member of the
neighborhood. “I’ve seen families come
in with their kids and sit in the dining
room, and then years later seen the kids
return as adults sitting in the sports
bar. A lot of people grew up coming
here.” That is why several
years ago, Ray expanded the hometown
experience and opened his Fridley
location.

Shortstop is a family owned and operated classic
American bar and grill. Drink selection includes
several draft beers and many more bottled
varieties, as well as select wines and spirits.
Our menu is loaded with delicious choices: aged
steaks, sandwiches, salads, gourmet pastas,
stone-oven pizzas and of course, the best
burgers in town. Plus, you can always count on
great daily specials! Stop in for lunch, dinner
or just drinks. It’s a great place to mingle
with friends or bring the whole family. There
are plenty of big screens to watch a game, a
fantastic bar to catch up with friends!.
Our Coon Rapids location is on the Northwest
corner of Northdale and Foley in Coon Rapids.
Our Fridley location is the old Joe DiMaggio's
located on East Moore Lake Drive and Old
Central.
